I am sure some of these varietal wines crafted by Ben Glover from his family owned Zephyr vineyards in Marlborough, are new to many readers. But the following selection of engaging, well balanced wines - are an ideal pairing with varied occasions and fresh cuisine. MKIII Sauvignon Blanc 2020
Grape: 100% Sauvignon Blanc

The MKIII Sauvignon Blanc is designed to disrupt the conventional thinking within the ethos of Marlborough Sauvignon. This wild barrel-fermented style has an appealing character of thyme, tarragon, coriander with a subtle mineral seam and a taut dry finish.

Classic citrus invitation of lime blossom, clementine and pear aromas, that all carry through onto the vibrant palate. Which proudly showcases freshly squeezed lemon and lime notes giving this Marlborough Riesling a varietal vibrancy and refreshing personality.

An appealing aroma of red apples, nashi pear along with a subtle dried herb note. On the relaxed palate you instantly find and enjoy those ripe apple and nashi pear characters as this balanced Pinot Gris with its natural soft acidity has a textural appeal and lingering finish.

An attractive, generous style Gewürztraminer. Delivering plenty of varietal aromas of peach skin, lychee, pear and ginger notes. The palate is showcasing those ripe tropical fruit flavours along with an alluring subtle dash of varietal sweetness and a smooth lingering finish.

An engaging mix of apples, citrus, subtle peaches and ciabatta toast from the time in oak. The wine has infused well with the thoughtful use of oak, balanced by a bespoke amount of malolactic fermentation, choreographed to retain natural vibrancy and a classic dry finish.
