The 7th New Zealand’s Rosé Day is set to be celebrated on February 5th. The following local selection of dynamic vibrant New Zealand Rosé wines - are an ideal pairing with a number of diverse casual summer occasions & cuisine. Here are a few brief words to describe my first impressions and the essence of each wine. A versatile range of 6 NZ Rosé wines ready to be sipped, savoured & shared over the summer months. ‘25 Steps’ Rosé 2021

Region: Central Otago - NZ
Head Winemaker: Andrew Keenleyside
The juice for the rosé was syphoned off from Pinot Noir grapes. It has inviting aromas of wild strawberries, red cherries and lifted floral notes. The palate is engaging showcasing those ripe strawberries, watermelon, a deft mineral note and a refreshing upbeat dry finish.

'S.V.' Pinot Rosé 2021

The juice for the rosé is from a single vineyard & drawn-off from Pinot Noir. Inviting aromas of strawberries and red cherries with wild floral notes. The palate is engaging showcasing ripe strawberry and juicy watermelon characters with a refreshing bright dry finish.

‘Pinot Meunier’ Rosé 2021

Aromas of ripe strawberries and watermelon notes are lifted from the glass inviting a smile. The palate is vibrant with soft acidity along with those vibrant summer flavours of watermelon, red currants and raspberries leading to a delicious finish.

'Fiesta' Rosé 2021

This ‘Fiesta’ Rosé is a celebration for the senses - and predominately crafted from Syrah. Enticing aromas & flavours of ripe strawberries and rose petal with a hint of peach skin. While it is crafted in a dry style, it is luscious on the palate and ideal for any occasion.

Crafted from 94% Merlot & 6% Pinot Noir - this rosé is packed with gorgeous raspberry and peach flavours combined with just a touch of minerality. Delicious juicy acidity and lingering dry finish, make it an ideal sipper and will have you reaching for another glass.

'Bronte' Rosé 2021

Crafted from 56% Pinot Noir, 27% Pinot Gris & 17% Riesling. This sewn-quilt style of Rosé has lifted aromas of strawberries and summer floral notes. The engaging palate has a citrus seam through the mid-palate, showcasing red fruits and spice which linger on the finish.
