Few things have given me more joy than watching guests discover something new – not through rules or instruction, but through their own senses, curiosity, and delight. After more than forty years working grape to glass, and a decade of collaboration with the Eisch family, I continue to see how deeply people respond when wine is allowed to speak for itself.

The SensisPlus LIVE Experience Tour of 2026 began in early June, returning first to Germany – the birthplace of SensisPlus innovation and a place that always feels like a second home. Those first glass tastings set the tone for the entire tour: calm, welcoming, and quietly transformative. No rules. No pressure. Just an open invitation to explore wine in a way that feels natural, intuitive, and deeply personal.
Alongside the LIVE Experiences, the tour also offered valuable time with our new distributors, allowing us to introduce SensisPlus into each market for the first time and establish aligned foundations for future collaborations.
From Germany, we travelled to Spain, where the Mediterranean warmth added its own energy to the experience. A room full of industry leaders, the atmosphere relaxed – we had guests leaning in, laughing, discovering, and letting go of long held assumptions. It was wonderful to watch guests realise that wine doesn’t need to be complicated to be extraordinary.
The Netherlands and Belgium followed, each hosting dynamic trade and public events with guests eager to understand why SensisPlus was being called “game changing” across Europe. What struck me most was how quickly people embraced the idea of removing the old rules. When the pressure disappears, the senses open. And when the senses open, wine becomes something far more meaningful.

France had an extra layer added. What began as a hospitality / sommelier event in Paris – expanded into a dedicated mini tour on my own through Champagne, Chablis, Burgundy, Pouilly-Fuissé, Beaujolais, and the Rhône Valley. These are regions steeped in tradition, yet everywhere I went, people welcomed a fresh way of engaging with wine – one that honours heritage while freeing guests from the constraints that often limit genuine enjoyment. The response was extraordinary. Winemakers, sommeliers, collectors, and newcomers all found themselves tasting with renewed curiosity and clarity.
From Europe, the tour moved into Asia – first Hong Kong, then Macau – where cultural diversity added another layer to the sensory journey. These events were intimate, elegant, and filled with laughter and more moments of shared discovery. The final chapter unfolded in Bangkok, where several memorable LIVE Experiences brought the tour to a warm and joyful close.
Across every country, every room, and every glass, one truth became clearer with each experience: SensisPlus continues to redefine what’s possible. The stemware, the sensory exploration, and the gentle removal of old rules all work together to create something rare – an experience that is engaging, intuitive, and irresistibly fun. I’ve been humbled to see how deeply people respond to my SensisPlus LIVE Experience.

My contribution to international wine culture is still evolving, still growing, still finding new ways to enrich how the world tastes, learns, appreciates, engages, connects and celebrates wine. One extraordinary sensory journey at a time.
A sincere thanks to the remarkable people behind the scenes and on the ground whose generosity, professionalism, quiet dedication, and attention to detail helped make every sip along the tour so unforgettable.
• As those tours conclude, a new chapter begins. New SensisPlus LIVE Experiences will be hosted in Auckland this September. Look out for your personal invitation – seats are offered only by invitation, and ESSENCA Stemware is available exclusively to those who attend a SensisPlus LIVE Experience.
The journey continues, and I look forward to sharing it with you.
To register your interest in attending a SensisPlus LIVE Experience • New Zealand
email: ESSENCA@xtra.co.nz

["post-13591","page","type-page","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","entry
["GET
