Since this time, their expressions have become a benchmark not only for Marlborough but the whole country.
All their wines are crafted from grapes grown in their own vineyards, situated in the renowned Wairau Valley in Marlborough. With all their grapes being hand harvested for each wine. After diligent and time-honoured vinification and then tirage before the secondary fermentation in bottle. This cuvée was left on yeast lees for another 20 months before disgorgement and dressing. Resulting in a defined personality and elegance setting the highest of standards. This Rosé displays a textural finesse and a quality well above its price-point.
An extremely well-crafted Rosé style méthode, made from predominately Pinot Noir and showcasing the ideal climate that Marlborough has, to produce sought-after flavours. A fresh, youthful expression with a generous collection of small-to-medium sized bubbles, producing a silky mousse on the palate and an entertaining, refreshing dry finish.
★ This wine has an hypnotic aroma expressing a bouquet of acacia flowers, red cherries, raspberries, strawberries along with a subtle note of a freshly baked apple pastry. The 20 months on lees has given this wine a good footprint across the palate. But not losing any of its explosive summer fruit freshness that is delivered to all your senses by the energized mousse, and a balanced kiss of fruit acidity producing a silky texture on a pleasingly dry finish.
This No.1 Rosé NV has 12.5% Alc./vol. An ‘Extra Brut’ Style, with residual sugar of <1g/L. Chill gently and serve in a generously curved flute or an aromatic shaped wine glass at 8º- 10ºC. - *NZ$49.00
An elegant ‘Rosé’ with an articulate character that elevates the senses.

CELLARING POTENTIAL: *(Article Posted 21/9/24)
Drinking perfectly now; plus, it will hold nicely for another 4 – 5 years.

FOOD PAIRING SUGGESTIONS:
Perfect wine pairing with salmon gravlax, sushi & sashimi, prawn & crab salad, crayfish / lobster, seared tuna steaks, salmon & avocado pasta salad w/ basil pesto, along with an aged Parmesan cheese – enjoy.
Always drink responsibly.

more wine reviews

["post-11395","page","type-page","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","entry
["GET
