The dedicated team are working with some of the oldest vines in the world. Plus they have an incredibly diverse selection of oak barrels to frame and compliment their generous ‘old-vine’ expressions.
This new label ‘Reach For the Sky’ is all about approachability. A fruit-forward expression that reflects the opulence and versality of the Barossa, with fruit carefully selected from specific blocks across their estate vineyards, and this cuvée lends itself to being a sharing now wine. All three varieties were picked, fermented and aged separately prior to tasting, blending and then bottled. Getting the cuvée right can be one of the most challenging stages in the winemaking process, as once it is blended, it can’t be unblended. Though the experience and understanding of each vineyard and parcel of fruit gives this team the confidence needed to craft this vibrant cuvée for the 2021 vintage. The label artwork is by Gemma MacFarlane.
★ On the inviting nose you have lifted aromas of mixed berries, infused spices, dried herbs and cacao notes.
